Default New to area...

Hi everyone,

We moved to Connersville, IN last summer and I managed to bring 2 tomato plants from my old house. Although I got a late start, I was thrilled to be harvesting in the middle of November (and those greenies slowly ripened into January!). I have about 60 plants (all indet. heirlooms but some sungold and Sweet 100).

And although the CHOPTAG meetings are only 1 hr from my house, we always have something "more important" to do on that weekend. I was really looking forward to the taste meeting, but my husband's sister is getting married that day in Michigan.

Anyway - I'm sure I'll get to meet some of you sometime!

Default Welcome!

Kate, Welcome to Tomatoville and to the CHOPTAG site.
Sorry you can't make the Tomato Tasting in August.
We will be meeting in the spring for a plant exchange; perhaps we will see you then.
Have a great gardening summer! Hope you have an abundance of tomatoes!
Gary

Hi Kate!
I had just moved back to cincy 2 years ago when my dad was sick and missed CHOPTAG taste fest, but last year my (then fiance) and I made it. Barbee chatted with us the most I think.

we just had a few tomatoes to share but had a great time tasting them all. I brought some whole wheat crackers and herbed cheese spread. MMM!

hot time to have a wedding! good luck!
