I'll probably bring my 12-yo daughter and possibly my 15-yo son.

Cathy,

I will certainly bring a Druzba for you and I'll bring a SFT for MMS.

MMS,
I have 4 children - no kids (they're too much trouble) - that will be coming with me. I hope that doesn't discourage anyone from coming. They are a pretty fun and agreeable bunch! 8)

Lisa,

Point taken – if that was your intention.

My pappy always said kids are baby goats, young people are children. It’s surprising how smart my dad got after I grew up. Now that he’s passed he seems brilliant.

I have one child, a son. And despite his father’s influence he turned out to be a pretty good younger person.

So, I’ll rephrase. “Children are more than welcome. I can’t speak to how many will be there this year but maybe some of the younger crowd will speak up if they plan on bringing any children along.”

For those who's never been there. Here's our link to CHOPTAG website, thanks to webmaster Mark. Mark has done an outstanding job of posting pictorial evidence of CHOPTAG events. Thanks, Mark!

Jerry,

Could I also beg a Mule Team from you??? I had only one to germinate and it died in my unheated greenhut with the last cold temps we had.

Lisa

P.S. Anybody have an Andes Horn? Same story as above with Mule Team

Lisa:
I'll bring down an Andes Horn if a small one is OK.
These were really slow to germinate for me-almost gave up on them.

Thanks Dave! That would be super! I don't mind having a small plant at all. I was so disappointed that I wouldn't be able to grow AH for the first time.

See you in May...

Lisa

P.S. My plant list is somewhere in this CHOPTAG forum...Page 1 of one of the plant discussions... if you see anything you like, let me know. I'd love to give you one in return.

Default Plant swap and BBQ fun

So this is where you have all been hanging out. Sorry I've missed you all this winter. Good to see that the plant swap is progressing nicely. I will certainly be there. Besides pulled pork I am looking for some kind tomato grower to share 1-3 earlies. I'm not picky....Matina, Stupice, or Kimberly would all be great. All of them or any of them. Forgot to do the Kimberly and Matina this year and the Stupice was old seed that never developed.

Looking forward to this weekend. Like Jerry I have lots of varieties and will bring at least a tray of plants.

Well, I put all my nice healthy looking plants outside to harden off and now they're not looking as nice and healthy any more. I may bring them all with me to see if anyone can tell me what I've done wrong, as I'm seeing the same problems with them that I experienced in one bed last year with my hybrids purchased from local nurseries.

But I'm not sure anyone's going to want to take home the ones I saved for them! LOL!

Mark, if you don't mind tall and skinny I'll bring some of my leftover earlies? Plus the AGG, and of course the Kimberly.

Val

Bring those plants with you. We’ll get Earl to wave his magic pig cookin’ fork over them and they’ll be as good as new.
