Default Joining Tomatoville

I'm asking (for some members at Houzz/Gardenweb) for some simple advice on the process to become a member, here.

If you go to the Forums list, the first one is "Become a Tomatovillan!" Instructions are there. There is one thing that has changed since they were written: instead of being contacted "within 48 hours" you may have to wait months. This is because Mischka has to discover whether or not you're a bot, a hacker, a spammer, etc. Long slow process, but worth it. Tell them to persevere.

I found out that contacting the TV in any form can take time. Recently I forgot my password (so it seemd) and clicked the button to re-set it.
Never heard anything from TVille, but thankfully, remembered and succeeded in hitting the correct code :-)

Dr. Carolyn had known me for years from the AOL gardening boards and vouched for me to Mishka. Maybe if members in good standing here put in a good word for the person who wanted to join Tomatoville to Mishka that would speed up the process. Tomatoville needs new members with fresh ideas to keep the site from becoming stale. Sometimes I bore myself, lol, and others too I'm sure.

I need to update my email address and every time I try the reset message doesn't come and I get locked out. Is this related to the same issue?

I highly suggest using a password manager. Once you get into the habit of it, you end up with secure passwords everywhere and forgetting passwords becomes a thing of the past.
