Well your gardens are looking great as usual. I am glad to see that you are still being creative. I learn a lot from reading this very long thread. (Perhaps it is time to start a new one so that people can find things easier.) I have decided that the one thing that makes your pictures so interesting is your beautiful little girl. I enjoy watching her grow up and her smile is so enthusiastic. I love it! I bet that it is She who makes all of your gardening worthwhile.

Thanks MissS. The reason i haven't made any new threads is to keep all my photos in one place to look back when i need to. Plus it gives me an idea of what worked and what didn't from previous years. And i can sorta look back at the time stamps when i need to double check start dates.

Hi Delerium,
Had been wondering what you were up to recently. Beautiful garden as usual and your new tomatoes are quite impressive. Good to see that you've got your daughter started on a weight lifting program ! Any mushroom news? Or is it getting too hot for mushrooms right now? Looks like we're in for a bit of a heat wave.... not looking forward to that! Anne |

Still growing mushrooms Anne. Morels, Lionsmane & Oysters are pretty much the only mushrooms I'm growing right now. We have been eating Shiitake mushrooms from outdoors that have been fruiting under this tomato bed since Feb (first flushes were huge). Jiana just harvested a few smaller ones a few days ago. I might start growing some shiitake but very small grows that will produce quickly. If i do larger blocks they take like months before i see anything.

Hi again D,
Thanks for posting all the photos. Your garden really is spectacular. So much going on in a relatively small area - and everything looking so healthy! It's been fun to see how much it's grown and improved since you first started posting photos when Jiana was so little. Good to hear that you're still keeping up with the mushrooms. Does seem like the mushrooms in the soil are benefiting your plants (unless you have some other "secret weapon" up your sleeve that we don't know about yet ). Stay cool! Anne |

Beautiful harvest, Delerium. Nice looking plums too. I see you have few small trees in a back of the pictures. Great job as always. Keep us posted. I agree with Ann, you have well developed garden with many varieties. Congrats. And the best thing is your entire family is involved.

Yes Ella we have been adding fruit trees to the garden when we find them on discount or clearance. Went outside and took a few pictures for you. I wanted to replace all our allergy causing trees with fruit trees i think its a good trade-off. Jiana and I planted the plum tree last year and was surprised to get a few this year.

What a great collection of dwarf trees. I was trying to plant few myself, unfortunately here (in NJ, near NY city) you will get them dormant and not likely to survive.
Few did not put any leaves at all (I took good care of them, 24 hours roots soaked in water to revive and right soil mixture to start with). Couple turned to the busted (they did not take the graft). My grandma used to graft, I was learning from her how to. Everything has to be right: the time of the year (trees loose leafs), the size of the original rootstock ( according to grandma 2-3 years old is the best) and the fresh cut from the graft branch (budded tree). One more interesting experiment to try. Enjoy growing them. It is fun for years to come. Your family deserves good fruits.

First of all, your daughter is precious Delerium. Your garden and orchard are beautiful and those tomatoes are huge. Great job on everything.

Another solid year for tomatoes. Not even July and we have had a bumper crop of tomatoes this year. Tomato plants are still loaded with maters. Cukes are pretty prolific now. Yard long beans just starting to produce.
