One thing you may want to look into.
For most digital cameras, there are built-in "firmware" electronic filters for white balance to correct different lighting situations such as daylight, fluorescent light, flash, etc. This will allow you to get the correct colors.

Yeah - on the cam its pretty easy - there is an icon with a plant on it - with another icon for color; and then another without a flash ...
