Default What's with the marbles?

Maybe its the soil, maybe its virus load? But my Nordic October, which should be pretty consistent if Tom was able to get it into commercial producton, is giving me marbles. Each hill has a couple of decent potatoes and then about ten marbles.

It's not lack of rain. Other varieties are not doing this. My garden is a patchwork of beds with different soil types.

Nordic October should set fairly large tubers early in the growing stage...anything different indicates a problem somewhere...and things happen now that it is five or more years out of certification. Not enough information to give a diagnosis exam...

The plants started slow, so maybe the few big ones were from early and the marbles came on late and didn't have time to do anything.

Thanks for the time.
