I've received a lot of great feed back. Not much for photos if you google. This is an excellent one from my customer photo contest on FaceBook a couple years ago.

I grew it this past season, and the descriptions on Remy's site and at Michigan Heirlooms are spot on. Nice balanced flavor, good paste but also tasty fresh, and it was one of the earliest larger tomatoes to ripen for me (although my sample was pretty small). It will be back.

Agree, and not knowing this thread had been bumped I already fetched the info from Remy's Sample Seedshop

http://www.sampleseeds.com/?page_id=4260

Just scroll down until you come to Santa Marie, and Remy was the first to offer it.

Thanks all, with the info provided I now know it will be in my 2016 garden. Remy I noticed you stated you like it better than Romeo on your site, reasons why?

Romeo, though impressive looking, was much stingier with tomatoes over multiple seasons (who knows, elsewhere it may perform better.) It also doesn't taste good fresh at all to me, blander than many other pastes and mealy.

Let us all know how it does. I am looking for a more productive large paste than San Marzano Redorta (shown in my avatar). It taste great fresh but not always that productive IMO. Thanks

Having ditched Romeo in favor of Santa Maria, I'll second this! Santa Maria was among the most productive pastes I grew this past summer, it laughed at the foliage issues that quickly took down neighboring Costoluto Genovese plants, and I believe was last Lady standing at the end of the season. It has earned three coveted spots in my 2016 garden.

Thank you, Remy, for sharing this one with us through your seed shop!

Good to hear Fathersdaughter, I'm going to be trying different paste over the next few years to see what does best here since I mostly use my tomatoes for processing. Wes was a standout for me this year but it was a little to juicy to be a true paste. I will post my results.

At least I did not bring home another dog.

I had to laugh when I saw this. I looked at this thread and I ordered more seeds too.

I am excited to grow this tomato though. Sure looks yummy!

Since I am not a paster (?!) I do like them for on the grill , whole, along with what else is on the grill, burger, chicken, steak ..... I usually use Roma. But I have quit growing it because of annoying BER.

Thread drift B V V, since you'll likely read this. I think I have some SM Saccone seeds coming in.

Oh dear! I read your comment as "I am not a pastor" and wondered what religion had to do with this variety.
