Default Bury the stem?

When you say plant just like tomatos - can you bury the stem, or do eggplants need to maintain the same root depth?

I bury the stem, just like tomatoes - and do the same with hot and sweet peppers and tomatillos. They may not root along the stem like tomatoes do, but the resulting seedlings end up stronger and stockier.

Ditto for all of them and for the same reasons.

Be sure not to over water if you bury the stem. This is the number one cause of damp-off in veggie plants
