I've been looking at this one all year long in the 2015 catalog. I should have put it on a wish list. Coloring can make tomatoes and most other things taste better.

They are very attractive, and her description makes me want them, like I need more seeds.

I grew them last year in a pot in what was otherwise lousy tomato-growing weather, and I thought they were great. The plant bore pretty well considering and kept going later in the season than most of the others (despite heavy winds and rains knocking the pots over once they were loaded with fruit). The fruits were pretty and the flavor was great, sweet but with a little extra kick. I'm planting them again next year. Marsha, you do need more seeds.

I like the color and size. BUT then it is loaded with seeds. Not my choice. YMMV

Happy Thanksgiving to you as well!

Looks like this is a variety not many have tried, makes me even more intrigued to try it. Every winter this happens--the list of want to grow swells way beyond the garden size.

Well, shoot! I just placed an order with TGS for five items about 2 hours ago, and I could just as well have added this one, if I'd read this thread a little sooner! It does sound like a good one.

Hmmm... garnets are one of my favorite gems... Should I grow this tomato for that reason or am I just catching the addiction bug from you guys? Uh oh...

Garnet has excellent flavor and production. I highly recommend it.

I can now second the Garnet recommendation. I grew it in 2017. It was an extremely vigorous vine, exhibited excellent foliage health, had production out of this world and offers excellent flavor. I am growing it again in 2018.

I grew it last year as well. It was good and very productive for me as well. I still prefer Rosella for flavor though.

I've got seeds for that one. I'll have to give Rosella a whirl in 2019. I've already got too many cherries lined up for 2018.

How was the plant health/size compared to Garnet?
