Default Shipping Seedlings-Anyone know how??

I hope this isn't a stupid question but I have seen a couple people sell tomato plants over the internet. They promise to get them to you in perfect condition. Same with Burpee, SSE,etc. Anyone know what they use to protect the plant and keep the soil contained?I thought this would be a great idea to be able to grow and sell very rare varieties of tomato plants and heirlooms that I can find seed for but couldn't figure out how to ship them first?I know I could sell the plants at the farmers markets but I want to be able to ship them--some how. Thank you in advance!!

If you want to know how they ship, place an order.
