So pretty! We're back to mud in Virginia!

I use leaves to mulch my garlic.

What is the tan material under the sunbelt? I'm a big fan of sunbelt in the vegetable garden for larger plants with greater spacing like tomatoes and squash. I have a smaller raised bed with garlic but it was a chore making so many small holes close together. I have to keep reminding myself of this as I pull weeds out of the straw mulch in the hot sun all summer.
