Default I have started

Sowed my first batch on May7 and have been sowing new batches since. Here they are out in the greenhouse. The ones in the bigger pots on the left are the May7 sowing. I have since planted them into their final positions in the greenhouse

gosh darnoodley cold at the moment Dave. I won't be planting any outside for two months yet. 80% of my crop comes from the greenhouse anyway, which turns into a shadehouse when the weather heats up.

Mantis,

I hope you're leaving some room for some Dwarf F2s
that will be coming your way via Patrina!

I was just thinking that, Lee. I know that Rena is sending me some Witty F2, and I put out a general request today (via a series of PMs) to all F1 growers who have not yet provided me with updates. At this point, Witty and Sleazy (Bruce's plant) are the only ones to have ripened yet.

Got plenty of room for any that Patrina would like to send me. I have some F2's of my Tommy Toe X Nepal that I am going to try in a fall crop later on. Hoping to have F2's of College Challenger X Brandywine by then as well. I have the F1 growing at the moment. Could possibly end up with a dwarf from this cross as CC's parents were Grosse Lisse and Tatura Dwarf Globe. So a dwarf should show up in the F2's ,,yes??

Got most of mine in yesterday Mantis. Haven't enough room on the heated tray so the rest are near the heating vent until they pop up. The thermostat in my propagator is stuffed (pumped the temp in the base up to 80oC and melted the polystyrene tray bottom and singed the perlite!!!
Spent today sowing onions outside (8-10 varieties).

I was going to wait until next week-end to start but when I read this thread and saw your pics I couldn't resist any longer and sowed this morning

Lomatia, if I'm unsuccessfull I might just have to pop around your place again this year.

All the best and hope we have a good season this year
