АЛТАЕЧКА or Altaechka is it Altai?
Does anyone know if АЛТАЕЧКА or Altaechka tomato is the same as Altai?
This is a tomato I got from my friend in Omsk. Just curious. |

I'd guess they are different.

Jennifer, just did a search on those and ALTAECHKA is an early-seaason large, pink plum or an elongated heart. Didn't find info on ALTAI, but there are some tomatoes called ALTAISKIY ROZOVYI (Pink, as you already know) ALTAYSKIY ORANZHEVYI ( Orange), etc. Those are mid-season beefsteaks. So, Tania is right, they are different

Thank you all for responding and researching this. I wish I could read and speak Russian. Maybe that will be a project for me this summer.
