Default Florentine Beauty

Has anyone grown Florentine Beauty tomatoes?
I'm always looking for some unique varieties to
grow. It's a yellow, ribbed and looks quite nice.
Any info on taste, productivity, etc... would be
appreciated. Thanks.

I had ordered seeds for this as it looked odd, not bad odd, just different. Never did get the seeds, or any of that order. Not sure if the package got stopped by other than US customs (who usually send a nasty note, LOL) or?? But the ebay seller said she sent the order 2x.

If you grow it, please do report on the plants and fruits?

Tania doesn't list, I didn't feel like going to Ventmarin, so I googled it.

Hope the above helps,

Carolyn

I ordered seeds from a place called Renaissance
Farms out of Bloomington, IN. I think I will
make a spot for it next year and will report on
it then.

Yes, that place was on the list of places where you could buy seeds that I noted in the link I posted for you.

But take a good look at the picture

http://renaissancefarms.org/healingh...-tomato-seeds/

While they say the flesh is soft, it has no flesh, just huge empty locules.

To me it's a stuffing tomato, and if you go back to their website you'll see a list of I think 4 stuffing tomatoes and one is a dead ringer for the Florentine one.

I also spent some time at their website a bit ago, and lots of errors/omissions in descriptions.

Over the years there have been seeds, plants, whatever, that I've wanted and were rare and hard to find.

I've found that the chase to find them is the exciting part, but not always when I finally got what I wanted, well,it was not what I expected.

So be sure to let us know about the Florentine one when you grow it out.

Carolyn

Carolyn,

I too noticed the empty locules in the picture and had some suspicions about the description of the tomato on the website. That's why I posted to see if anyone had grown it. Since I have limited space I probably won't grow this one.

I received the seeds today, and if anyone wants to give these a try, PM me
and I'll drop the seeds in the mail.

Thanks Carolyn for your expertise, always appreciated!
