Tomato seedling Tower
I just transplanted my mater seedlings in Jiffy 7's from under the lights to cowpots using FoxFarms "Light Warrior" grow medium with mycorrhiza. Where does the tower come in? Check out the pics below. The first and 3rd are the tower and the 2nd a close up of the CowPots. The tower as I call it is 7 feet tall and is mounted on a piece of particle board with wheels attached at the bottom so I can rotate and move it. Ami

Similar here Ami, we got some wet snow yesteday (but only for 5 minutes or so) but It was very sunny (so as today) and the outdoor temperature is ranging from 8 to 9C at daytime and -1 to -3 at night, brrrrr cold !

Snow is not here anymore. I should change tyres of my car ASAP and never used pure cocomix as a soil substitute for my seed starting anymore... Only 50% germination rate this year with this soilless mix...

Nice looking tower, Ami. It's a lot less work than my setup. One of these days, I'm gonna get a small greenhouse. (My wife has given me the go ahead!) Michael P.S. What varieties are you growing this year? I have 6: Cherokee Purple, Mortgage Lifter (be a good year, plz!), Momotaro, Pineapple, Sungold, and Sunsugar. If I see something interesting at the market, I'll add a couple. Michael

Great setup! I wish that I had the space ( and the light) to do something like that. I would imagine if I were to construct such a tower, my four and two year old would try to scale it, and in the process knock it down.
WOW! It seems that your weather is just as capricious as it is here in West Texas.

Where do you plant out all of your tomatoes ultimately? It appears that you're in an apartment or condominium? I know space is a premium in Germany but surely you don't put all of them on your balcony. Where in Germany are you located?

Sorellina, thats my upstairs computer, work, grow-room in my home. Most of the plants I grow at home are in containers (My land area is 1200 square meters) and I have a tomato bed set up at work. I'm located in Rheinland Pfalz by Kaiserslautern in southwest Germany.
