I think Provider is an excellent choice, although I would probably do pole beans if container growing.
I use long beans in the heat of summer. They are excellent and very heat tolerant.

The White Seeded Super Marconi pole beans have put out their first few baby beans as well, but not much other than leafing and vining going on with the Chinese Red Noodle beans so far.
Long beans typically need hot,hot weather. And the red noodle is a slower maturing long bean.

I grew pole beans for the first time this year. I grew three types, all are decent but for sheer volume Fortex was unreal. Here is a two day harvest of all three I grew.

For a couple weeks they were so many I gave gallons away. I pickled some too! Excellent!

I used this recipe

Thanks for the recipe, I'm going to try it soon. Have lots of Fortex and hot peppers to use up.

The recipe gives a good pickle flavor, you can control the heat by the amount of cayenne. I used my own hot pepper powder. I also threw in pickling spices.
Oh, and I don't boil the beans, this will only make them soft, I put them directly in sterile jars. They remain crunchy!
