You are right and in honor of that, here you go I just prepared this after washing 4 lbs of lettuce.

Mixed greens (red oak, green oak, romain, something else) cranberries, sliced almonds and fresh strawberries and some balsamic vinaigrette. Only the berries and greens are from the yard. I wish I had an almond tree.

Oh shucks, it sure is fun and ohhh so tasty. I love growing more than I need because I get to share. I took a 1lb over to a neighbor of mine, who is currently resting from surgery. It was nice to see the smile on her face.
I'm taking another lb of mixed greens and spinach to some friends tomorrow and I think we are going to try and make some thai chicken wraps I'll report back.

Now I just need to start some seeds, but i'm tired and want to be lazy after a busy week at work.

It was yummy! What kind of greens will you be growing?
I actually have a few blueberry bushes but I left then unattended and I'm pretty sure they aren't doing to well. A few have set fruit, but it's hurting in setting leafs. They would indeed be a wonderful addition to a salad full of nutrients.

Yeah I had been on work travel and we have a nice warm week, so it went nuts. I then had a raccoon, rip some out In an attempt to get the worms, so I had to harvest that. I'm also attempting to switch the greens to another bed so I can run sub irrigation on my last remaining bed. So i had a bunch of large romain heads to wash up. All in all it about a 4 hr job washing and rinsing and storing the lettuce. But it's worth it

Yesterday I planted another 30 spinach plants, jimmy nardellos, Marconi red and chervena Chushka peppers.

I also planted, in ground, the zucchini I had started a few weeks so.

The tomatoes, basil and eggplant are coming along nicely and the tomatoes will go in ground next week

Eeeeew Crandy!! Yeah that would scare me too yeesh! I'm looking forward to keeping up with your thread this year. Maybe I'll start my own. Not going to plant TOO many toms this year and also am thinking about trying some veggies I haven't done before. But I digress. Happy 2013 gardening!

p.s. just noticed you started this thread on Jan 23rd and here it is Mar 30th and it's just starting to be warm during the days here. Such a big difference in climates, huh?

Babice, where the heck have you been? I thought you went MIA. Yay Spring.
Yeah there is quite a difference, but I also started weather specific crops. I could grow greens all season, which I think I will

Freaking Raccoon hit me again last night. Apparently it isn't attracted to the marshmallows over the worms in my bed. Now it's time for some tuna. Any other suggestions? I put the trap right next to the bed and the caca face won't go in. What the heck is up with my worms??
