Patrina asked me to grow this as a possible variety to use for future crosses. Seed from Andrey who says its about 30-45 cm tall, pink and rugose. Nice looking seedling.

PP-I have 2 seedlings in. I will sacrifice one of them when I plant in the 5 gallon grow bag. It will go in the grow bag next weekend with my other earlies-grushovka, swarze tomate, mountain princess, sft, siberian, pearly pink orange, hobbitt and sophie's choice.

Andrey-thanks for the seed, and bring the dwarves on! I am growing 36 dwarves this summer. I think next summer will be all dwarves. I get great germination and growth in the glasshouse because we get so much sunlight here.

Here is the plant today, when I put it in a 5 gallon grow bag. There are two plants in there-I should sacrifice one to the tomato gods, but I may see if I can grow two plants in a 5 gallon bag in the glasshouse.

Good looking plants, Michael

At least you can let them both grow one month more, choose the healthiest and cut a top of the second. Then tie together and make a powerful rootstoke for 2-in-1 Roza Vetrov tomato plant :wink:

it's really amazing how fast it is growing in your desert climate

While seeking some other varieties to do a cross, please, don't forget this is an early tomato variety bred for Zone 3/4 growing and it bears nice pink-raspberry coloured middle size round-oblate fruit

Andrey-They sure are taking off. I am growing these for Patrina and You. I wont be doing any crosses myself, but will be sending the seed to Patrina. She can decide how to use it. Most of the dwarves you sent me have germinated-some are being a little stubborn, but I expect they will germinate in a day or so.

It will be great to have an early variety to use for crossing Andrey!

I didn't find any early ones among the crosses I've done for the project so far, but usually varieties are later for me than anyone else. Maybe the NH team will find some early ones in their F2s and F3s this season.
