Here’s one of mine. They are growing well, will upload photos of the other KARMA colours as I pot them up. Weather is looking more promising here now so here’s hoping

That is a beautiful plant KarenO. Everything looks so healthy!

I planted into Eathboxes for the first time on 4/14. I swear the KARMAS have doubled in size since then. I am getting a little scared

Since KARMA is a cherry type I am assuming it shouldn't be pruned. Is that correct?

I don't prune anything besides spotty/damaged foliage on my plants or to keep a rangy plant within in bounds but you can if you want to, the yield of cherries will be reduced in direct proportion to the pruning because removing lateral branches ( I don't like the word sucker because it implies something negative or useless) removes the potential for all the fruit that would have been formed on that branch. They won't get super tall but they will fill out and be heavy with fruit (I hope). It will need a good support ReginaAnn. A stake and a large cage is what I use but there are endless ways to support tomato plants, I would stake it right away.
The speedy growth is a good thing, that's how you get early fruit on a big plant

I think It looks great.

OK - I went back to page 26 to see; that time of year, we are in clean-up here so may have missed the first time around. KarenO your plants are stunning! What do you feed them?

I was hoping too, it didn’t appear again so must have just been an aberration.

For seedlings I use promix and water with 1/4 strength all purpose miracle grow.
A pinch of Epsom salts added at potting up per plant contributes magnesium and sulphur and helps keep them nice and green. I have tried a lot of things and prefer the albeit artificial certainty of this to any number of other programs for seedlings. I can rely on it every time.
The other very important factor is light, they are in a greenhouse
Once planted out I switch to organic ( compost, slow release orgainic granular a bit of lime and Epsom salts for magnesium and sulphur.

Just finished all 55 pages of this thread.

Take a bow ladies, you deserve it.
I appreciate excellence in every endeavor, and that shines through in this project.

Karen, years ago you answered a question I posted somewhere about when you can name an F1 cross. I've always loved tomatoes and hobby breeding seemed exciting.
I never did any crossing because I was putting all my time into mastering commercial production.
I am now backing off of commercial scale and going back to just enjoying the fun of growing tomatoes for joy and eating.
Reading this thread was inspiring. I might try a couple crosses this year just to see if I can get one to take to learn the technique.

Marsha, If you have any spare Karma Pink seeds, I have some spots in my brand new high tunnel that could use a new variety.
