La Nina is here instead of El No No... meaning we have oodles of rain and high humidity and, with that, bulk blossom drop. They are predicting a wet summer, first one here for years, I'm thinking I will have a reduced harvest.

Grub, we experienced an extremely hot and dry spring and now start of summer. 37C forecast for today. Extreme fire danger.
Isn't it weird how different things can be from one place to another?

'Only' thing I have to worry about is that my plants might burn or dry out or we run out of water.

I bought a 10 kilo box of organic tommys and made a big batch of sauce last weekend. About 10 days ago I thought my yeild would be way down on usual so thats when I ordered them ($10 for 10 kilos is alright eh). Since then the plants have started loading up with fruit. It all started after I gave all the plants a thourough soaking, so maybe I have not been watering enough in the past

I agree about your lack of water though. The only thing wet in Horsham is the back of the throats of the locals.

It was weird really. After the soaking fruit started appearing out of flowers I thought were duds, like the first truss flowers that have been sitting there for weeks after finishing. Also the fruit already on the vines started swelling much quicker. I am a changed man. Gotta go water

Are you all alright? Were you affected by the wild wind gusts?

We had a terrible night. Fierce winds and wind gusts howling around the property.
One of the new big (not yet set up)water tanks went walkabout in the middle of the night. Landed smack in the dahlia patch and right in front of mum's bedroom window. You should have heard the noise! Let's hope there is no hole in the tank. What a bummer! We waited 3 1/2 months for the tank to be delivered. Delivery times are far longer now if we had to order a new one.
