That is such an odd looking insect. It reminds me of these alien movies when a fish grows legs and crawls out of a pond.

Look at page 4 of this article.....I believe it is a molting leaf hopper?

Thanks! Lucky find on my part. I recognized it as a leafhopper, realized it could be molting, and did a quick search. Have you found anymore unusual insects?

Nothing as interesting as that one, but I did find what I think is a false potato beetle



It's hard to tell though because it looks like he did the backstroke on my tanglefoot trap
