Default MMF x GGWT F6

I picked these last night. It is the MMF x GGWT line. The plant is pretty and about 10-11 inches tall. The tomatoes are about 2-3 ounces. In the photo I have a large black cherry in the center for size comparison. I haven't tasted them yet, but will let everyone know how they taste.

There is also a picture of the plant on May 2nd.

Default MMF x GGWT heart

Dan,
I picked this one tonight. A little smaller, but definitely a heart shape.
Hope the taste is there too!

That's a nice looking tomato! Did the plant turn out to be multi-flora?

Default MMF x GGWT

Sue,
Not as many blooms as some multi-flora in Dan's project, but still a significant number of blooms and it loaded up with tomatoes.

Here are a couple more pictures of the plant.
The close up of the blooms is from May 26th.
The second photo is from June 3rd and shows the fruit set.

What are your thoughts?

Deborah

I wouldn't call it multiflora but it does have a lot of buds for a small plant.

Default MMF x GGWT

Sue,
The seed I planted were F5.

I have another cross from Dan with MMF x GGWT that is definitely Multiflora.
I will post a picture of it tomorrow. It is going to have cherry size tomatoes.

I like the look of the stripes. Would you say they are early for you? I'm growing 13-F4-6 which also isn't multiflora but it seems the tomatoes are early for here. Can't wait to see the multiflora!

Here are my micros, planted 1-8-19. Some have quite a few blossoms but I don't know if they are really multifloral.
First photo- 33X-F5, second 53X-F3, third 51X-F3 with yellow fruit, last 51X-F5 tall and has a bad case of spider mites. Last year I didn't care for the taste of any I grew, but I picked and ate the 2 red ripe tomatoes on the 33X and they were good. Tangy, not overly sweet and the skins were tender. Got about 10 seeds from the 2 of them. They are the shortest plants, also have the wispy leaves. Yellow ruler is 12". Will be awhile before some of the others ripen.

They look great Betty. I grew out the 53x line last year and it was a multiflora with good tasting yellow fruits. I will grow it next year...just ran out of room for anything including the micros this year. I am growing the 13x...just one plant and it's not multiflora at all.

Default MMF x GGWT

This is the true Multi Flora. I think the tomatoes on this one may be a little smaller overall. It is F5 too of the MMF x GGWT
Both of these plants are a little earlier, maybe 7 days.

I like them both. If the taste is there, I will grow both of them out next year.

Dan,
Are you asking about what generation? The seed I received and planted were F5.
Let me know if this is what you are looking for.
Thanks,
Deborah

I think they both were from the 51x line.

Thanks Sue! I have been doing grow outs of 51x as well and I have both red and yellows but certainly no stripes. Those are beautiful!
