Default 2014 Plant Swap

Hi folks,
It’s time to think about our annual plant swap. I’m suggesting 1 of three dates. May 4th, May 10th or May 11th. Post your preference.

I also need suggestions for a location. Most city/county/state parks charge a fee so if anyone has any suggestions for a place let me know. I’m open to anywhere in the Tri-State area. (Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, South Eastern Indiana)

I'd vote for Cincinnati, or South Eastern Indiana, somewhere close to Indianapolis, I'd love to attend, May 4th sounds good.

From facebook

Greta Gray 3:49pm Feb 10 Hi Jerry, Used the link on the facebook CHOPTAG post for the dates and place conversation, but I cannot post. I did just send an account request and I have activated.

I am unsure if you can help me or not, but if the group would like to have the event in Wilmington, I am on the Clinton County Ag Society board of directors and we can look at having this at the fairgrounds at no charge. I would need to verify other activity on the grounds if your group would like to do this.

Thanks.
Greta Gray

Let me know what everyone thinks about Wilmington. Personally it's good for me. If ya don't like it you have to have a better idea.

Hi Jerry,
If that fairgrounds doesn't work out, we were able to have it at one person's church dining room for free. Just a suggestion.

Jerry, just wanted to say the Wilmington idea is A okay with me too. We had a few people at the tasting last year from Wilmington and a few from Dayton so that would be a great location for all plus it would be about 45 mins closer for Lurley.

So, does anyone have a valid objection to Wilmington on May 4th?
If not I’ll ask Greta to try to secure a location for us, then we can discuss future locations at this gathering.

I got good news from Greta yesterday. Mark your calendar for May the 4th from 11 to 3. And be sure to post your available plants.
“Good Afternoon Jerry. I wanted to let you know we are good with using the Clinton County Fairgrounds for the CHOPTAG gathering on Sunday, May 4th. We are going to wait to assign the building depending on the weather conditions (shelter house vs enclosed building) that day. Restroom facilities will be available. Here is the address for the Clinton County Fairgrounds:
Clinton County Fairgrounds
958 West Main Street
Wilmington, OH 45177.

Please included and ask the group to like our facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/clintoncountyfairground and our website is www.clintoncountyfair.org
