Just got in from spraying 3 rows with Daconil. Hot & humid here also. Garden is looking good but we are still waiting on our 1st ripe tomato.

My wife and I drove to Omaha this afternoon to visit #2 son, dil and our grandkids. Got here at 6:30 and around 7:30 we are having a Tornado Warning. So the hotel we are staying had everyone come to the 1st floor and shelter in the hallway in front of our room. I think this stuff follows us.

Thanks Rock, we are fine. We are going to the Farmers Market in the old downtown area of Omaha this morning. That should be fun!

We are getting some kind of thunderstorm, scattered sowers ... It will continue for the next 4 -5 days. In two days my rain gauge has collected less than one inch. But that's ok, it keeps the ground moist and the soil underneath stays moist. That is all the plants need. They don't drink water like horses.

Glad everything is OK Steve.

It's 82 degrees and 79% humidity out there. The wind is blowing really nice though so my neem spraying went well this morning. Everything is already dry.

You guys in the heat make me feel like such a wimp! We have heat and humidity in the forecast for Monday and Tuesday, over 80 F. I expect to be completely incapacitated... or only fit for filling and emptying glasses. Likely hanging out in the basement. If it lasted more than two days you'd adapt to it, but.... that won't be happening here. Two days good for nothing.

I haven't adapted to it yet and I have been here for 15 years, lol. Our heat index today will be 105-110% and will not be fun. I just came in from watering the garden and it is now 85 degrees and 65% humidity. I do everything in stages here.

On my way,
Hubby is out weed eating so he can mow afterwards. He's already burning up so I am going to make him a banana peanut butter smoothie with protein powder when he's done weed eating. Give him some energy to keep going out there.

It was muggy today and then came a thunderstorm, dumping about 1/2" in hurry.
It was over 90F before the rain. Now it is about 75F @ 4:45 pm. Getting muggy again.
But on the positive side, we got some rain, no watering the plants.

I enjoy the lower temps with the humidity it makes it much more tolerable.

Yes, and luckily they cancelled the College World Series opening ceremony well in advance. Straight line winds of 100 mph knocked down trees and large limbs on almost every street in my neighborhood. All the tomato plants and cages remained upright. My ac started making funny noises after a power flicker so I turned it off. The corner McDonalds was without power from the evening storm till mid-morning today.
