Default New cage...

Decided to build a cage for the Better Boy. We'll see if it holds up to the Alabama weather.

Ha Ha I know! Its 6ft. tall. Last year my Better Boys got up around 8-10 ft. Wife wanted something a little decorative so I thought Hey why not? If I can get a couple of years out of the 2 I built I think I'll be ok.

Did you know you can take the same wood you have and put it together in a way that it will fold up?

Thats a good point. I didn't think about that. It was one of those last minute "great ideas" as we were rolling through Lowes.

It's beautiful- I would just worry that when it is full of foliage it could get blown over, since it isn't anchored--here in the PNW it would not last against our winds!

Thanks Worth.

Yea I'm waiting to see if modifications to brace the bottom are needed. The winds aren't too bad here. Usually just the heat and heavy rain.

If you need to you can get a masonry bit and drill holes at each leg and put about a foot of Re-Bar in the ground and 6 inches out.
Then hose clamp them to the legs.

Default Fortress Update

It has held up well with all the heavy rain and wind we've had lately.
