These food pictures around here are killing me, people! I only just now have green beans big enough to eat. I've got a while yet before the tomatoes start ripening up...

In the winter months, I buy the cheapest bacon I can find. But with my own heirlooms? I will spare no expense on the bacon! Applewood or peppered thick-cut bacon only for these babies....lots more to come!

Has anyone noticed the price of bacon these days?

I'm a tight wad, I have been buying the ends and pieces.

Bacon is crazy expensive.
I bought some (Smithfield) on sale last week...buy two get one free.
The total was $15...and that was on sale!

Default First BLT

A little late to the party, just returned from vacation and found this Burpee Steak house, definitely having a BLT tomorrow with some Blue & Gold bacon.

Nice pics. I eat so many BLTs that I just buy the real bacon bits that are meant for salads and use those.
