Onion (Red Torpedo Tropea)

Any one other than me raise Red Torpedo Tropea I have had great luck at 6000 feet elevation.

I've been growing it yearly since about 2012, and while it doesn't keep very long, I've also had great harvests.

Where do you buy your plants??

I start them from seeds in mid-February and plant out the seedlings early in the spring. I've been working off of a large seed packet I bought, but I don't recall from where at the moment. Germination this year was spotty probably due to the age of the seeds, but I anticipated that and sowed plenty of extras. New seeds are on my shopping list for next year.

I have grown it for many years. I get the plants from Dixondale farms. Very reliable.
