Default MY 2018 GROW LIST

Hi friends,

Wow, it's hard deciding when you only have 28 spots available. I started with a list of around 100 varieties and have finally decided (I think). I still have room for 2 more plants and would love to hear your top one or two must grows every year. Also, any questions on the ones I have grown or comments on the ones I haven't will be welcome.

The ones with an asterisk are new varieties to me this year. I grow in Earthboxes.

Lucky Cross *
Aunt Ruby’s German Green
Madame Marmande *
Black Krim
Japanese Black Triffle - 2
Vorlon *
JD’s Special C-Tex *
Amish Paste *
Italian Heirloom
Isis Candy
Sweet Baby Girl - 2
Chika *
Sunchocola - 2
Orange Paruche - 2
Sweet Treats - 4
Honeybee *
Green Doctor’s Frosted - 2
Sweet Sue Dwarf *
Rosella Purple Dwarf

That's it folks. Hope everyone has a great season. I am planted at the end of the month out here in Los Angeles zone 10B.

Congrats! Most of those on your list are unfamiliar to me, Black Krim and Lucky Cross are the only ones I have tried (BK is wonderful, LC was very finicky but the few fruits were well worth it taste-wise)

I have tried Green Doctor's Frosted, and liked it very much.Really a nice green cherry, and this year I'm growing it too, and think I will every year.

Default Tomatoes

Best for me this FL tomato season was German Johnson PL, and Aker's W. Virginia. I have plenty of seeds if U are interested. Maybe U have tried these varieties all ready. I also grew Aunt Ruby's German Green and Green Giant. ARGG are HUGE tomatoes with yellow blush at blossom end when ripe. I prefer the taste of Green Giant over ARGG.

Hi Karma. Nice list I have grown JD's special X tax the last 2 years, it has a good smokey taste 81/2 to 9. Also the one that is always in my garden is GGWT, good production and really good taste. Thanks. Mike

GGWT and Prue were fantastic in my garden too. Well worth a try. JD’s and Paul Robeson also did well. PM if you need seeds.
