Default Woody's folding tomato cages

I found these and directions on how to make them on the net. I'd want to modify it a little..add a few more rungs. Just wondered if anyone had used these before and what you thought of them? They look nice in the photo. Seem like they'd be tall enough to support a big plant. Fold up for storage. Not too expensive to make. The big plus is it would give me something to do while I wait to plant seeds. I'm getting antsy! I hope the picture goes through

Hey Barbee, how about giving a link to the article. I believe it was in Mother Earth News and had a few more cage designs as well. Ami

I would if I could...but I have no clue how to post a link here?! I just googled woody's folding tomato cages and it connected me right to the Mother Earth News article. I'm sorry maybe someone else can link it for me.

Barbee, thanks!

This is the design I've been trying to find. I'm going to adapt the instructions to make a storable trellis for pole beans.

I found 59" ladder trellises at Territorial and Nichols, but the premade ones are way too expensive to ship - not tall enough or wide enough to grow enough beans. I guess I'll have to learn to use a saw. Yvonne
