Default Yellowing of plants

My plants are turning yellow. I'm making sure not to over water. I'm afraid of under watering though. I'm growing heirloom tomatos. How often should I water? Does anyone have any insight to why they would be turning yellow? They're still producing tomatos though.

Can you post any pictures? It's hard to answer from your description.
Yellowing can be from a variety of things, from overwatering to too much fertilizer to disease conditions. Are all the leaves on the plants turning yellow or is it just the bottom leaves? (Older leaves on the bottom often turn yellow.) Or are branches of leaves randomly across the plants turning yellow? How often are you fertilizing? And with what?
