Fried Green
Picked a nice Orange Slice and set it in the window. Cant wait to fry my first one with blush. 4 parts corn meal to one part flour, egg, salt and pepper and hot oil in the old cast iron skillet. Yum.

We do 'em a little differently. Slice the just-blushing tomato into slices. Place single-layer on a tray. Salt them. Let sit for about 20 minutes. Drain juice & blot dry. (If you don't do this, they take forever to get soft & crispy.) Dip in flour & fry in 1/4" oil; drain.
