Default Bzzzz bumbles in the tomatoes

So it was a still and quiet morning, and a single bumble was working over the sungolds.
I noticed the buzz when he was flying, but he also buzzed a different pitch after landing on the flower.
Never noticed before, found it interesting.
Sounded just like an electric toothbrush when he was on the flower.
Pollinator extraordinaire.

After a three year absence we have lots of bumblebees back in the landscape. None, however, visit the tomato garden. Too many better flowers I guess. I love the deep drone. Some have so much pollen on their legs I don't know how they stay aloft.

Default Bees

Got plenty of Bumble bees and honey bees in the yard on the clover. As someone posted before they lived on my big yellow squash blossoms.

Great video! I love the sound of bees, especially the bumbles.
