Default tomato

my tomatoes - some of them are turning black on the bottom and the side does any one know what the problem might be?

Busrider, look for pictures of Blossom End Rot. It sounds like that might be what's wrong with your tomatoes.

What varieties are you growing? Some seem to have a higher tendency to develop BER.
