Kohlrabi
I am thinking of growing some kohlrabi. I purchased one kohlrabi tonight at my local farmers market to try it out.
Any recommended recipes? I have some kohlrabi seed(white vienna, 55 days). My average frost date is September 15th so could I plant them now for a falls harvest? Does kohlrabi handle a light frost? Any kohlrabi info would be great. thanks, Dean |

Yes you can plant now. I am in PA and planting my second crop of onions, lettuce, and kohlrabi. Kohlrabi can take heavy frost.

Hi Dean, you should be able to start them now, they are very fast growers. We enjoy them raw in salads, or just lightly steamed.
