I grew Grub's Mystery Green years ago. I really liked it. Milder than a red for me, but nice flavor. I didn't know Grub, or that he passed

One for that hard working pair of ladies, KarenO and Marsha, Karma Pink which is not doing to badly in this Aussie summer here. Plants are probably around the 3.5 to 4 foot mark, unpruned with 5 or 6 stems but still reasonably open. Nowhere near as vigorous as some of my others which are topping 6 feet, some of that could well be due to soil type and how much wind protection they are getting. Not the greatest producers but considering their background they may tack a couple of years to acclimatise fully and for me to work out how best to grow them. They will get two more years at least. Will copy this to the Karma thread. largest would be golf ball size.

Had not checked these for ripe fruit for a couple of weeks. A quick check and a handful later. I will keep seed from the largest even though they're growing right next to three other varieties, including the striped Candy Cane. Largest about 3 inches across

While my mobility was still limited, Dad planted some butternut seed out of a purchased Waltham Cross fruit. Most has come up true to type, with one exception. This is a speckled, round fruit with different, more heavily lobbed leaves and thinner stems.

That variegated squash and foliage is sure pretty! Hope it tastes good. And I don't wish crossed seeds for you but a chocolate striped candy cane pepper might be just the thing!

Thank you for posting all the photos, iopt's lovely to see all your veggies especially the tomato varieties.

In this case would be happy to have crossed seeds, even hoping for them,the idea of a striped chocolate has great appeal to me and is why I planted them next to each other.

Glad people are enjoying the photos, but you can keep the snow, we had some on the local mountain range yesterday by all accounts,crazy.

Think I know what is going on with the different squash, it is most likely one called Buttercup. I got some different seed in and germinated some in pots. Due to the injury that I did to myself they did not make the ground and I probably through the left over mix out into the bed thinking that there were no more seeds in it. I was wrong
