ID help Please
I picked a fruit from my friends garden and he doesn't know what it is. He said it was an heirloom but he doesn't really pay attention to what he plants. It is a small red, about an inch and a half long, with a pointy end and some light striping with a wonderful flavor. I saved a few seeds and would love to know the name. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

It looks like Legenda Tarasenko , except for the striping.

Anyone have any suggestions that I could look up? I looked up the legenda mentioned above but its way too big. I guess I have a mystery tomato.

It could be one of several thousand varieties that might fit, so happy guessing.
 IMO it's virtually impossible to guess a specific variety from a picture.  Unfortunately once an orphan usually always an orphan.  Carolyn

Thanks for the guess loudog but Ruths is a large slicer. This one I tried is a tiny tomato. About an inch and a half long, half inch wide with a pointy end.
Love your answer Carolyn. Guess I'll just plant a few seeds and see what happens. I love the taste of it. Hopefully they grow true. Thank you for the help everyone

I have a similar problem. I grew what was supposed to be Yellow Submarine, a pear shaped yellow cherry tomato. They're growing round, about twice the size of a cherry and are ripening red. Oh well, I'm not going to worry about it and just enjoy what I've got. They taste pretty good and that's what's most important to me.
