Oh and the price, well over 2000 dollars.
I have about as much use for one of these things as I would a two headed rattlesnake.
Scoped bolt action person myself.

I was thinking the same thing. They should take their gun conversations to a gun forum of some sort. I am sure there are loads of the around.

We don't talk politics and we don't talk religion, but many of us consider firearms to be tools and recreational devices. I have a favorite wheel barrow, a favorite shovel, a favorite rake and a favorite gun.

I don't like the sig. I prefer a pistol for pistol purposes and a rifle with a scope for rifle purposes.

Worth,

What was your thinking in posting a picture of an assault weapon? Sometimes, I think you post things just to stir up controversy.

Let's keep Tomatoville about tomatoes and related subjects.

Mike,

I always respect your thoughts and I often disagree with some of Worth's comments. In this case, this is absolutely not the first time a discussion on firearms or the photo of firearms has been posted. Tomatoville has discussions on many subjects in different threads which have no relationship to "growing tomatoes".

For anyone who watches enough television, the firearm pictured probably looks like an "assault weapon", but it isn't. It is a pistol dressed up like an "assault weapon" to increase sales. It's kinda like making a four cylinder, sedan look like a high powered sports car to increase sales.

The notorious M15 "assault weapon" isn't really what everyone calls it. It is in fact a sporting rifle. Calling it an assault weapon has given it a notoriety which has really increased sales. The manufacturers really appreciate the extra business. How a weapon looks is pretty much irrelevant. It's the bullet coming out of it that makes the difference.

DonDuck,

As usual, Worth doesn't reply directly, but posts something he thinks is obliquely related. My question to Worth was why he posted the image. It wasn't in response to anyone's post. It was out of the blue. I think he intended it to be incendiary. Worth, feel free to jump in if I am not being fair.

I'd really like to know what prompted you to post the image. With the second amendment division today, I think you knew it would light a fire.

If this site is only about tomatoes. Half of my near 12,000 posts have been about nature and gardening, cooking, flowers, living, music and video, family, health, fishing, worrying about others, weather, a few posts about guns, etc.

Now add in around 7,000 PMs sharing tomato and gardening seeds with people around the world. Many just wanted to talk - some were dying. Some wanted me to help with the site when I'm just a member here.

I don't want to see pictures of guns, but I understand why others do.

No doubt Worth likes to stir the pot. I think of them as Worthisms and laugh and ignore them. Until the forum rules are changed to limit expression beyond the subjects of politics and religion, he is operating within the rules.

I dont intend to stir the pot and never have but I am of free will and expression something this world needs more of these days.
The occasional discussion on firearms has been around here since the beginning.
A pot stiring person is one that continues to hound me and send me nasty PM's when I have tried to be nice to them to no avail.
None of you even know me enough to even consider hate.

Once again I have offered peace, will I continue receive nothing but the sword in return?
