Default My tomato leaf scans.

I'll be increasing this set of scans each year.

I love the scent of tomato leaves and their beauty too. I do grow a lot of flowers, but they're not always in bloom, and so really, my garden is planted for the leaves of the plants that are always there.

Tomato leaves are as varied and beautiful as their fruits--last year I started an online reference file of the leaf scans, it may help folks with identification, but above all, it simply shows the varied leaf shapes and sizes. Too bad you can't have a scent to go with the photos--if you could it would be an aphrodisiac perfume to a tomatophile!

Wow those look really nice, the picture is very crisp I could clearly see the texture of the leaves. Nice job!

Trudi,
Fantastic job! I could see your page becoming a great reference, especially for checking if someone has a cross or true plant. Do you plan on posting fruit pics for each type?

Best Regards,
Brian

Default Picts

Brian, I don' have picts of all of the fruits but have picts of many, especially in their green development. I will within a few weeks have more grwoing info and picts on the website. Maybe even some interactive quizzes and puzzles too--just for the fun of playing and learning while you play ;-)

Goddessemer6, Thanks for the kind words. I have a great scanner--it's a HP Officejet 6100 All-in-One. I didn't have to do any photo editing with the scans. (HOORAY!) Also, I have a very reliable webhosting service--they provide me with a lot of reliable quality bandwidth.

And NO ads! (Hip Hip Hooray!)

That is fantastic, I love it because maybe I will possibly be able to identify some of the Mystery Toms you sent me ))
All I know of them is they are Indeteminates, But one is a Potato leaf Variety. I have 10 (what I labled as) Surprise Toms.

I picked out 18 tomato plants to keep last night, then the 10 surprise plants and maybe 1 oe 2 other tomato plants. I think I need a bigger yard))

Default Smile!

That blend is an interesting collection of assorted sizes, shapes and colors. I'm glad to know that you have a wide range--you will be enthralled with them and as it's such a mystery blend, you'll find yourself reading catalogues and books about toms, and at the end of the growing season, you'll be quite satiatied and savvy about tomatoes ;-)
