I have 2 ready to pick and one right behind it. Bully told me to be sure that they were extra ripe for the full flavor to develop. I picked 2 around the 3rd week of April and wasn't impressed, but I think they were on the 'orangy' side and not fully ripe. Can't wait to taste 'em...maybe today!

Let us know what you think Val!

Well, they were a little crunchy, so I must have picked them too early. I'll wait longer for the next one.

My first ones were a little bland too... they were heavily sweet but no tang. Anyhow, they just keep gettin' better and better as the weather heats up!

I picked two on Sunday and let Dad have them, since it was Father's Day. He said they were very good.

You're all welcome! But don't expect a repeat next year as they were a pain in the bohunckus to take care of. :-) The early ones have thick skin and the way I've been remedying that is to dip them in boiling water for 5 seconds. They peal easy after that.

I'm saving seeds from the Kimberly Dwarf [it only grew about 2 feet tall] and will pass them around later on. It would be great if we could segregate out the dwarfs and get it to grow as a true dwarf.

Earl -- was the fruit any different on the dwarf as to taste, size, shape, production, etc?

Suze, no difference except plant height.

Here's the link to my webpage with some pictures.
