Go to Thailand or Sri Lanka and you will find the plumerias = franjipanis near every temple as they are called "temple plants" there. There are plants with white, yellow and pink blossoms and ALL have a wonderful fragrance.

The easiest way to get new plants is to use a cutting from a well flowering branch. I've done so (taken home cuttings from Sri Lanka) and had the first flowers the next year. Had to take them inside the house in winter for 4 or 5 years; then a sudden first frost and they were all gone - mushy stems after one slightly frosty night and no recovery...

Congrats on the beautiful flowers! Unfortunately, I've never smelled "real" Plumeria so I'll have to take your word on the scent Cheers!

Do you know what cultivar it is? Seems like many exist.
