Default Mountaineer Mystery and Lester

Last year Earl brought these, among many others, and I was able to save seeds with his blessing.
Both are doing well in the patch now and I'm curious as to the story behind each. Searching on them doesn't yield much info.
Earl, or anyone else, can you add some of the history ?
Thanks,
Dave

Dave

Mountaineer Mystery is a variety distributed by a member here that uses the name Dunkel. I have the history at home but I don’t remember the entire story. I’m sure if he sees this or you PM him he’ll be glad to refresh our memories.

Thanks, Jerry.
I reviewed some of Dunkel's posts on MM and now know the story of how he obtained the initial seeds.
Any other info would be appreciated.
