I have never played around with calcium nitrate or water soluble ferts but I have everything else is. 1-1/2 cups of 10-10-10 surprised me, but I can see how it would be needed. I have plenty of 10-10-10. 80lbs for $4 last fall clearance. That 1-1/2 c ring of fertilizer sounds like a good place to use some up. I will definitely put some of these ideas to use.
