I HAVE to ask...is that "Astroturf" (plastic grass) in the background?

Yes, it's plastic grass on my balcony. I like to take photos the red tomatoes on a green background (green and red are complementary colors).

Very nice. Mine green tomatoes are all cracking as we head into the Nov/Dec rains. That BW looks delicious.
