Default Gnocchi and New England Clam chowder.

Someone here suggested I try sweet potato Gnocchi a while back on a pasta tread.

Well the other day in the store for the first time I saw it.
There it was looking back at me begging me to buy it.
I didn't but yesterday i was in the store again and bought some.
There were two different kinds sweet potato and plain white potato.

I got two bags of sweet potato, one was orange and the other was lighter like it was mislabeled or something.

Today for lunch I cooked the lighter bag.

What I put over it was totally unorthodox I couldn't find the likeness of this concoction anywhere on the web.

But here it is, only the stuff I bought was sweet potato.

I have to tell you this was one of the best easy meals I have ever had.
I dont care how unorthodox is is.
Cook Gnocchi till it floats, about 2 minutes and heat up chowder.
Pour hot chowder over Gnocchi and eat.

Serves 2 unless your a pig like me and eat it all yourself.

Sounds yummy, Worth.

Think I'll try it with seafood chowder too.

Default Making Homemade Pasta

I invested in a hand-operated pasta maker a while back, and it has become my favorite kitchen tool. Here's a photo-step-by-step procedure for making pasta. Since there are a crapload of pictures I made a pdf http://www.hotwiredgardens.com/pdf/M...made_Pasta.pdf .

This recipe/photo-instructional is for chestnut tagliatelle, but it's only a matter of changing flours to make different varieties. GodereHotwired
