Default MAGTAG Brew 2008

This weekend I am set to brew a MAGTAG Belgian Wit beer. I just hope it has enough time in the bottle before the big event!

This kind of beer is an unusual Begian style that sports spices such as cardamon and corriander. These spices give it a nice aroma to go with the hops. I hope you all like Indian food

Finished the project last night (Jun 28th) at about 7:30PM. I just looked at the fermenters and they are going gang busters. Looks like a success so far.

Good going! Home brew is good stuff.

We go to a place in Freehold, NJ to brew our own batches, its called: The Brewers Apprentice and we've brewed a couple batches with them. You have to pick 1 recipe out of 1000 and then collect your ingredients, then brew it, then a "hand" helps you transfer it to a vat to sit for a while (total "work time: is about 3 hours) - then you go back for a second trip to bottle it.

My roommate used to brew it in our kitchen in college - its really a lot of fun!

Tom,

It is quite fun but a bit of work. I do all grain brewing just for the challenge. I have my own grinder powered by a 1/2 HP motor. I buy grain in 55lbs bags.

I haven't brewing in quite awhile but I wanted to make sure that I did something for our event.

Sounds good to me!
If you need supplies or just "look around",
here is the website of the place we brew: http://www.brewapp.com/

MAGTAG is on the calendar - as long as Suz boss is cool and doesn't change it, we should be ready to go!

So....

the brew was bottled today. I tasted it and it was splendid. I am relying on residual suger to carbonate the bottles.

We shall see,
