It was better last year with coir for the little plants. Dill is now off the list until transplant season starts.

You might hang some cheap yellow sticky tape very near the other trays and try not to get it stuck to yourself. I had squares of it attached to popsickle sticks in pots all over my shelves.
I use these yellow sticky traps for my indoor plants. They can't fix an infestation but they are great for preventing one

I have a few of those, I have used them for fungus gnats but have never caught an ant on one iirc. A flying aphid could be caught.

Where do you find the best placement for them?

For fungus gnats I use the yellow sticky traps that Hatgirl does along with some Gnatrol added when I water, if it is necessary. This does a great job.
For mold prevention I use MycoGrow. It will add spores of beneficial molds which will retard the molds that would otherwise take over. You may still get a low whitish mat and this is the mycos but you will not get the fuzzy stuff anymore.

I have a large one hanging over my window, as insects often are attracted to light, and the small ones shoved directly into the plant pots. That's why I buy the ones with the tapered ends.

Hatgirl, this is such a beautiful setup, so neat and impeccably clean, reminds me of a Japanese art display. And the pink fan;>)
