Hopefully I can post a photo of some of the tubers from TPS "Designer Roses". Very pretty assortment of pinks, from pale to dark, and one almost white.

Salix, somehow never saw this picture until now. Nice group there. How is the taste so far?

Hey those potatoes have come out looking so nice and clean skinned,your soil must be reasonably free draining is it?

Wendy, so far the ones I have tasted (about half) have been pretty good, not outstanding, but good. I am definitely saving some for re-planting next year.

Richard, I confess to having hosed them off - they were pretty muddy (wet year) and just left them to dry on the grass for an hour or so. In a normal year, they don't need cleaning. Have never had a problem with storage even after a quick rinse, no scrubbing of course!

Are any of you folks trying TPS again? Or growing these as 1st year tubers?

How many TPS do you plant to get 1 seedling? I'm not sure how many of them usually germinate, it is better to put all the seeds from the packet into the soil, or maybe part of them is enough, and the rest can be saved for future?

You find that the germination rate for TPS is normally high loeb,well thats what ive found anyway though i'm not sure whether it varies different potatoes.

Wendy- i'm into my third season tubers from TPS and i would have to say that they producing better crops now than i got from the first two seasons,though it has been a great growing season.

I am from Tbilisi, Georgia (GEO. USA, DE, ZIP: 19720 My shipping adress). I bought true potatoes seed from this company 3 weeks ago (+One package free. shippings cost and time Okay!!). I sowed three units seed for the experiment (really sowed time is April). All three seed appeared.

Wendy, I will not be able to do more TPS this year as I have lost a major part of my growing area. Will concentrate my potato efforts on the tubers produced by last year's TPS growouts.

For TPS, do you just plant seeds the first year, then save tubers to plant as seed each year there after?

TPS are the seeds! Some grow from TPS each year, some grow from TPS then save tubers to replant. I have yet to grow any TPS, just the tubers from TPS others have grown that I liked.
