Default Tatiana's TOMATObase seed sales

Dear tomato folks,

Now that Stan and I are officially retired, we are pondering on stopping the seed sales activities.

The hard work involved in collecting the seeds from hundreds and thousands varieties, fermenting, testing, cataloging, packing, mailing is not going to pay our living expenses. It has been a wonderful hobby from the start, and it is very clear that producing small quantities of seeds for sale for thousands tomato varieties is not profitable, and it is a full time job.

Of course, this is a very big decision, and we will be thinking about it this summer, before making a decision.

We will of course continue to raise tomatoes and save some seeds, as this continues to be a passion of our life.

Thank you so much for your support and kind words.

We will likely be continuing our poultry operation. https://www.facebook.com/HuggingRoosters/

Cheers,
Tatiana

You must do what's right for you. Dang: we thought you would be wanting to market our KARMAs.
In all seriousness, I understand completely.

Oh My! I appreciate everything I know of that you have done. I'm sure that I only know a very small amount of the contributions you have made to growing true plants of all kinds, but I do indeed appreciate you, and I now regret taking you for granted as if you could continue endlessly. I hope your records of tomatoes and all other work you have done will be preserved. Blessings on you and your husband as you deal with this decision.

It sounds like the end is coming to a wonderful era one of the few seedswomen and gifted tomato masters in the world.

Either way, enjoy your retirement, Tat!

Are you considering a big "end of business" sale? There are some varieties that would be impossible to find anywhere else. Clear out the inventory?

Pretty sure you don't know me but I feel the need to tell you this: you have been my guide since the day I decided I wanted to grow something else than Moneymaker. The database has been my Bible. (And I'm going through withdrawal at the moment, big time ) You're an inspiration to me and I hope you know how important you are to this crazy tomato-lovers-community that is growing every day. I really want to thank you for that. I wish you all the best and if you and your husband indeed retire I hope it will bring you the peace and rest you deserve. (I'm sorry if I didn't pick the right words, English is not my first language)
