Ok, I do not like cherries. It is not that I do not really like them, it is just the smaller the fruit the more time it takes to collect them and by the time I collect all the tiny ones I might as well eat one big large tomato.
Said that tomatoes like Karma Pink was right up my alley last season as it is larger sized. Reminds me of Kazachka which I also grew in the past and really like. It has flavor of large tomato but good whole in the salads. Last year I grew tons of tiny ones and while they were great tasting nobody in my family wanted to pick them up. Rubinka was top winner last year. From previous years I love Blush, Sungold, Sweet Aperitif, Black Cherry, Isis candy. |

I love the Bumblebee's. Purple has the best tast in my humble opinion. Miel du Mexique is a good one too.

Garnet cherry is best for my FL garden. Have plenty of seeds if anyone needs some.

Have been trying to find Japanese Pink Cherry and Pink Princess to no avail. Fedco has no Pink Princess available this year (I remember seeing a glowing description of it on their website last year...should've bought seeds when I had the chance!), and perhaps the former goes under different names? I see nothing on Kitzawa that fits. Any ideas?

Thank you! I'll check that out and see how they do for me. Is there another red or pink cherry with a more intense flavor you like?

My favorites from last year were Iva's Red Berry, Esterina, Toronjina, Green Tiger, Atomic Grape,
Dwarf Mary's Cherry (although a little bigger than a cherry), Garnet, Ron's Carbon Copy, Sugar Drop, Valentine, Karma Pink, Candy Sweet Icicle and Maglia Rosa. |

I grow Sungold F1, Snow White, Ildi, chocolate pear, green zebra cherry, michael pollan, blush, maglia rosa and a new to me red called Rideau Sweet.
I think the sweetest are my Sungold and Snow White, I will never garden without them! The Rideau Sweet was surprisingly awesome, produced all summer without disease and had PLENTY red tomatoes! |

I tried Purple Bumblebee as a lark last year, and found it was a lovely and productive cherry. I am planting it again this year.

I remember one year pulling tomato plants at garden clean-up time; quite a few ripe Purple Bumblebee still hanging on after many severe freezes. Of course they went straight into my mouth! Icy, sweet, exotic fruity taste. Will never forget that.

Wow, how interesting, salix. Sounds just like a variety for our climate.. I have grown Purple Bumblebee, but had no idea the taste would improve when frozen..!
