My winter squash are still growing...no frost yet. Several have ~30 ft vines. The first 15 feet of vine looks dead, but the 15 feet, or so, out to the tips are doing OK.

Upper Ground Sweet Potato has the best harvest.
Iron Bark, still waiting for one to mature.
Knife River is about done for the year, OK harvest.
Tetsukabuto??? Mine are squat, I've heard the real variety should be almost round.

Yes, because if i cut it open it is OK, I put then on grass outside me garden because the plants were huge, growing outside the garden so i left them there . they were under tomato plants anyway if they were by the wood i would put then outside on grass . Too much sun. this shot was july 15th, the plants went crazy in August.

After culling my list, (seriously) here is some of what I seeded this year. Calabaza is a main crop plant here. Perennial too. For thebest I am mostly growing one plant of each. I am also growing some maxima crosses for selection (sibley mother, what appears to be marina di Chioggia father and/or Trimble father and/or sweet grey).

I am limited in growing out 6 squash varieties per year (3 different squash families in each location), to avoid cross pollination, so I am really 'jealous' to see such a long and nice list. I love squashes!

yeah... my tomato collection is huge, it scares me! I need to design a better way of regrowing varieties for fresh seeds.

I am curious as to how you manage your grow outs. What size plot(s) are you working with? I have 3 plots that total 0.75 acres to work with. I am also needing to revise my seed storage strategy. The mini fridge is full.

Do you know the total number of unique varieties of tomato you personally have?

2705 varieties of tomatoes in my seed collection, and I have a 1/3 acre garden - not too much space, but on the other hand, it is more than enough for me to manage! I do my best to grow 200 varieties every year to maintain the collection.

There's about a dozen varieties on your list that I'm hopefully going to trial, this year. Those would make up about half of my list. You have two or three that I've never heard of. I don't know if my season will be long enough for Calabasa, but I've started seeds of that and Tahitian Melon indoors.
